Industrial Training
Work Sites at both FI locations offer extensive
training and employment opportunities for people with limited or
no previous work history including:
• Work
habits, specialized skills and abilities.
• Work
training to develop stamina, endurance
and teammanship.
• On-the-job
training and work opportunities at
community businesses.
Pay is based on performance.
Achieving
Individual Milestones offers assistance with achieving
personal goals, developing daily living skills, building job skills,
improving personal awareness and self-esteem and practicing social
skills.
The AIM program offers the opportunity to participate
in various community outings and activities to promote community
inclusion.
Frontier Health Employment Services in Northeast
Tennessee are designed to assist adults who have disabilities to
enter or re-enter competitive, independent, community-integrated
employment. Employment services staff strive to assist individuals
in locating, securing and maintaining productive jobs in the competitive
job market.
Services are provided
in the counties of Carter, Greene, Hancock, Hawkins, Johnson, Sullivan,
Unicoi, and Washington in Tennessee, and Scott and Washington in
Virginia. Services include:

Working with Business & Industry: businesses
have an excellent resource for those repetitive, fast turn-around
jobs that stress a production schedule and workforce for high volume
packaging, assembly, labeling, shrink-wrapping, mailing and other
comparable jobs.

Frontier
Industries Thrift Store sells quality new and pre-owned
donated items. Vital training is offered to people with disabilities
in this on-the-job training site. Trainees learn skills that are
employable at other similar retail or community jobs.
Donations
are welcome onsite or at collection bins located in Northeast Tennessee
and Southwest Virginia.
