Adventure Program is an intensive outpatient program that serves youth ages 13 to 18 who are seeking help with substance abuse and/or psychiatric issues.

   It may be a primary treatment program or a follow-up program for youth involved in other treatment.
   The Adventure Program addresses the problems of family, peer group and school and utilizes resources to help youths stop using drugs and discover more appropriate alternatives to facing and coping with stress, while building problem-solving skills. Our goal is to help youth and their families lead healthier lives.

   The Greenwood Challenge program is used to build problem-solving and team-building skills.

Greenwood Challenge

The Greenwood Challgene ropes course is a carefully planned outdoor learning environment where mental and physical problem-solving activities are designed to resolve group challenges in a safe and supportive environment.

   Challenges are designed for group and individual need. You may:

• Balance on logs

• Climb over walls

• Cross suspended bridges

• Rappell

• Do team-building low ropes course activities

   The course contains elements simple to complex, that produce levels of manageable stress stimulating learning and new growth. Your team will develop courage, vision, team spirit and leadership skills.

   Leaders and support staff are trained in group dynamics and are fully committed to helping accomplish goals.

   No special skills are required. Events are structured for any person who is of normal physical condition. Each person is encouraged to participate at his/her own level regardless of age, shape or size.

   A minimum of 7 people from four hours to two days, scheduled at least a month in advance. Groups include:

• Business and corporate

• Schools, youth groups and staff

• Athletic groups

• Individuals and families

• Church and civic organizations
