Frontier Health’s dedicated staff provide communication between people who are hearing and people who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.

Emergency services are provided 24 hours a day, seven days a week. A staff interpreter is available to interpret for emergency situations when a Deaf or Hard of Hearing individual is involved. Call (423) 434-0447.
Assistance is provided in various personal settings including social or medical. If needed, CCDHH can help make referrals to meet individual needs or network for more intensive specialized services or community resources including job placement, mental health counseling, audiologists or psychologists in 11 Tennessee counties: Carter, Claiborne, Cocke, Greene, Hamblen, Hancock, Hawkins, Johnson, Sullivan, Unicoi, and Washington.
In Virginia:

People who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing are not billed for interpreting services.
