Foster & Group Care
Foster Care
Therapeutic Foster Care is available for children in need of a home in Tennessee and Virginia through Frontier Health’s TRACES and VALUES programs. The programs are licensed, child-placing agencies through the Tennessee Department Children’s Services and the Virginia Department of Social Services. The programs work with the placement families through training, guidance, support and links to needed services. Tennessee’s TRACES program includes adoption services.
Group Care
Frontier Health’s three Tennessee group care facilities for youth 12 to 18 are for those who are in state custody, at risk of state custody, or are referred by juvenile courts. Frontier Health’s caring, trained staff help youth address problems related to mental health, substance abuse, physical or sexual abuse, family conflict, and conflicts with authority figures.
Education
Youth are able to maintain their school needs provided by the Local Education Authority through success-oriented, individualized instruction. A multi-disciplinary team works to determine educational needs.
