Information for TRACES Parents

The overall mission of TRACES is to re-educate and re-socialize each child so that the child can successfully be placed permanently in the community. Goals for each child include:

X    Increasing the ability and skills needed to

      develop and participate in healthy

      relationships

O    Improving the ability to assess situations

      and solve problems while considering the

      needs of others

X    Increasing self-esteem

O    Learning how to structure free time

X    Increasing independent living skills

O    Increasing rational thinking process

X    Learning how to control impulses

TRACES Foster Parents

TRACES staff are ready and willing to help, and various clinical support services ease the load. The TRACES staff provides training and 24-hour support for foster care and adoptive families.

      

 

Respite Care
TRACES offers foster families the option of respite and/or short-term placements for non-custodial children. TRACES has special contracts that allow for children to be placed in structured therapeutic foster homes and to recieve the same services offered to state custody children.
