NSP Week is dedicated to three key goals that are foundational to the heart of Safe Place: \n\nIncrease awareness of Safe Place.\nBuild community support for Safe Place and licensed partners.\nRecognize individuals\, organizations\, and businesses that support Safe Place.\n\nIn the weeks leading up to NSP Week\, National Safe Place Network (NSPN) will highlight each goal and provide resources to help your organization plan activities aligned with these objectives. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGoal 1: Increase Awareness of Safe Place\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOne of the most critical components of Safe Place is awareness. Youth need to know help is available and Safe Place sites provide immediate support. If young people don’t recognize the Safe Place sign or understand what it means\, they may not utilize the program \nSince 1983\, raising awareness about youth in crisis and the importance of effective community responses has been key to Safe Place’s expansion. NSP Week is the perfect opportunity to reinvigorate outreach efforts\, ensuring youth and community members know that your licensed agency is ready to connect youth with the care they deserve. \nWays to Increase Awareness During NSP Week \n\nSend a press release to local media announcing NSP Week in your community.\nEngage with media personalities and podcast hosts for interviews.\nShare impactful stories of youth who have sought help through Safe Place on your website or social media.\nConduct presentations at schools and community events.\nPromote TXT 4 HELP as an additional resource for youth in need.\n\nAll of these resources—including linked templates—are available for download in the NSP Week 2025 Resource Guide.

The challenge invites high school and college students to submit short\, impactful videos that spread positivity and raise awareness about these important themes. \nParticipants have until midnight on March 17\, 2025\, to submit a video of no more than 90 seconds. Videos can share their message with storytelling\, music\, art\, or any creative medium. DESCRIPTION:Named after Ukrainian nomads\, Scythian (sith-ee-yin) plays roots music from Celtic\, Eastern European and Appalachian traditions with thunderous energy\, technical prowess\, and storytelling songwriting\, beckoning crowds into a barn-dance\, rock concert experience.  Nashville’s Music City Roots says Scythian is ‘what happens when rock star charisma meets Celtic dervish fiddling’\, and the Washington Post claims “Scythian’s enthusiasm is contagious\, and shows seem to end with everyone dancing\, jumping around or hoisting glasses.” The foursome made up of Alexander Fedoryka (Vocals\, Fiddle\, Mandolin\, Harmonica)\, Danylo Fedoryka (Vocals\, Guitar\, Accordion)\, Ethan Dean (Vocals\, Upright and Electric Bass\, Percussion\, Guitar) and Johnny Rees (Vocals\, Drums\, Percussion) brings various influences together to create a conglomerate which is technically precise and steeped in various folk traditions: The classically trained Fedoryka brothers grew up on Ukrainian folk music and bluegrass\, while Ethan Dean was raised on the greats of 60’s & 70’s folk-rock. Lafayette LA raised Johnny Rees brings a Cajun backbeat to the Celtic-Americana fusion giving Scythian yet another dimension which keeps audiences entertained and moving. Scythian is coming off its most prolific year in 2020 with over 1\,000 hours of live streams during the Covid Lockdowns\, release of two new albums (Roots & Stones and Quaranstream: The Album) and four new music videos.
