Johnson City, Tenn. — Frontier Health is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Rajesh Kadam as Senior Vice President of Medical Services and Medical Director, effective November 1, 2025.
Dr. Kadam brings more than three decades of clinical, academic, and leadership experience in psychiatry and internal medicine. He previously served as Medical Director and Inpatient Psychiatrist at Woodridge Psychiatry Hospital and as Chair of the Department of Psychiatry at Johnson City Medical Center. In addition, he has been a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at East Tennessee State University since 2019.
Throughout his career, Dr. Kadam has worked in inpatient, outpatient, and emergency psychiatric settings and has taught medical students, residents, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants. His research includes studies on schizophrenia and fibromyalgia, and he has presented on a wide range of psychiatric and medical topics.
Dr. Kadam holds medical degrees from Seth G.S. Medical College and KEM Hospital in Mumbai, India, and completed residency training in Internal Medicine and Psychiatry at East Tennessee State University. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Psychiatry, and Addiction Medicine, and maintains active medical licenses in Tennessee, Virginia, and South Carolina.
