Kingsport, TN – Kid Power, a free community event celebrating children, youth, and families across the Tri-Cities region, will be held on Saturday, April 26, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Kingsport Civic Auditorium.
Held annually in anticipation of Mental Health Awareness Month in May, Kid Power promotes mental wellness and provides families with tools, resources, and support from a wide range of local organizations. This year’s event features over 30 participating organizations and promises a fun-filled day including a scavenger hunt, food, music, and engaging activities for all ages.
“We’re excited to bring the community together for another year of Kid Power,” said Kendra Cook. “It’s a great way for families to connect, learn, and have fun while highlighting the importance of mental health.”
Kid Power is made possible through the collaboration of dedicated community partners, including TN Voices, ETSU Health, the Tennessee Department of Substance Abuse Services, System of Care Across Tennessee, Tennessee Department of Health, Read-N-Play, Mental Health Association, and Frontier Health.
Join us for a day of connection, community, and empowerment!
“Kid Power focuses on the mental health and overall well-being of children in our community. Understanding the stressors families experience, it provides a chance to relax, have fun, and learn about community resources. By linking families to community supports and offering engaging interactions, Kid Power helps to address children’s behavioral health needs while building family and community connections.” – Kendra Cook, Children & Youth Services Coordinator
