Prevention Services
We work diligently to provide the community with basic prevention strategies and resources to enhance protective factors, such as promoting positive mental and emotional well-being, and decreasing known risk factors, like suicidal thoughts, problem gambling and availability of drugs.
Mental Health and Suicide
According to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Association (SAMSHA) in 2024 14.6 million people aged 18 and older were diagnosed with a serious mental illness. There were an estimated 14.3 million people who had serious thoughts of suicide and 2.2 million of those people attempted suicide.
Substance Use
Illicit Drug Use includes marijuana, cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine, as well as the misuse of prescription drugs. According to SAMSHA, 73.6 million people aged 12 and older reported using illicit drugs in 2024. Of those people, 816,000 misused illegally made fentanyl.
