Safe House Community Luncheon

On September 30, community leaders and supporters will come together at ETSU’s Brinkley Center for a special luncheon benefiting domestic violence shelters and the survivors they serve.
The event will offer a rare opportunity to hear directly from survivors and professionals dedicated to helping individuals and families move forward from violence. The panel will feature Lisa Johnson, Food City Special Events Manager; Tina Johnson, Director of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Services at Frontier Health; and Lindsay Earhart, Assistant District Attorney for Sullivan County. WCYB News 5’s Preston Ayres will serve as emcee.
Through SAFE House, Frontier Health provides safety, advocacy and support for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault at two undisclosed locations in Kingsport and Johnson City. Services include a 24/7 crisis hotline, emergency shelter, transitional housing support, case management, assistance with orders of protection, transportation and coordination with Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners.
The luncheon is more than a gathering—it is an opportunity for the community to better understand the challenges survivors face and the impact that compassionate, coordinated support can have on their journey toward safety and a new beginning.
Community members and businesses can participate by sponsoring a table or purchasing individual tickets through the Frontier Health Foundation.
